How much will it cost me to use Assist U2 Build™?

AU2B passes all cost savings on to you at every phase of construction. For each invoice generated on your project, we add a fixed percentage as payment for our building management services. This percentage is determined by the complexity of your project and is thoroughly explained before we enter into any agreement.

Why should I choose Assist U2 Build™?

Our business purpose and commitment to our clients is to remove the frustration from their construction projects. We have identified exceptional subcontractors from every trade in the construction industry that are prepared to bid and build your project. AU2B’s established strong vendor relationships allow us to leverage our buying power and pass these cost savings on to you. We assign a Project Manager to your site whose principal responsibilities are to ensure quality control and timeliness of completion. Your Customer Educator will schedule meetings with you to review the completion of each phase of the project and will assist you with any potential concerns or questions. You will benefit from our building expertise and resources as we collaborate in your construction project.

Are there other additional fees? How about charges for multiple site visits?

There are never any additional or unexpected fees. The number of site visits is determined by the requirements of the project. Your Project Manager will appear onsite as often as needed to ensure that every phase of construction is completed on schedule and each local or city government inspection is passed.

When is the construction funded?

Our program is designed for you to pay upon completion of each project phase. You pay the subcontractor directly when each invoice is submitted following your Project Manager’s approval of their contractual compliance with all standards of construction and satisfaction of all government inspectors.

How much money will I really save?

Our clients have commonly realized tremendous cost discounts with new home construction compared to the expense of a general contractor. AU2B clients have saved literally tens of thousands of dollars building their projects for exceptionally low prices per square foot. General contractors routinely charge 38% to 42% beyond their labor and material costs to cover such items as overhead and Workers Compensation insurance. Our savings are passed directly to you as you pay only the hard costs of construction with an added minimal percentage fee for our consultation and management services.

Who carries the liability for my project?

Our screening system requires that each subcontractor carry a minimum of one million dollars in general liability insurance. All subcontractors are held individually liable for their trade. You have zero legal liability or financial exposure due to our pay-as-you-go process. You will be required to purchase affordable Course of Construction Insurance that is the equivalent of property insurance to cover your general liability.

How long will my project take to complete?

We apply our expertise in construction management to minimize any potential delays. Every project is put on our fast track schedule to meet strict timelines for building phase completion. Some projects from start to finish have been completed in as little as 120 days.

How do you qualify your subcontractors?

Every AU2B subcontractor has demonstrated reliability and established trust throughout the years of our contractual association. We perform comprehensive back-ground checks to ensure our subcontractors are in good standing with suppliers and state licensing boards. We confirm there are no prior or ensuing litigation, labor disputes or liens placed on their companies while meeting our established insurance requirements.

What happens if a subcontractor does not show up or complete a project?

Subcontractors do not get paid until their project passes your Project Manager’s approval and all required governmental inspections. We put them on notice and give them opportunity to reconcile the problem in a timely manner. AU2B’s agreement with our screened subcontractors focuses on customer satisfaction, quality control and on-schedule project completion. We do not hesitate to replace an unsatisfactory subcontractor who fails to meet the responsibilities of their contractual obligations.

Who coordinates property protection and construction clean up?

We ensure your property is preserved during construction including potential perimeter fencing and tarpaulins to prevent rain damage. AU2B coordinates removal of all debris, hazardous waste materials and general clean up at project completion.
